More than 3,600 museum professionals from across the world, representing 122 countries, regions and international organizations, are invited to attend this major event for the world museum community. Museum Directors and Experts from India and neighboring countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, Srilanka, Nepal etc are invited as partner countries.

The conference will have meetings on topics related to museums, management, events, institutional changes in museums and news from different museums around the world.

The Art Culture Festival announces International Conference on Museum and Heritage Preservation, March 2018 /Trade Fair/awards for the International Museums to be held at the capital city of India, New Delhi, in March 2018.

More than 3,600 museum professionals from across the world, representing 122 countries, regions and international organisations, are expected to attend this major event for the world museum community. Participating countries include France, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Slovenia, Latvia, Hungary, the Czech Republic.

Conference details

This event would set the bar as the most important meeting place in the category of art culture Industry.
The Conference will provide museum professionals with a unique opportunity to exchange ideas. It will bring together the best and the brightest in the industry.
The International Committees set up by the organization would hold meetings on several scientific and academic topics related to museums, its management and specific museum activities. The idea being to build a strong museum heritage and share valuable insights into the working and management of museums internationally shape the bright future of Museums worldwide.
A special focus of this conference would be a section on museums from south-east Asian countries, under which special invites would be extended to Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
These countries would be invited to share how multifarious the historic monument preservation and restoration sector is in the region. An exhibition would be put up to explore the cultural memory and concepts of historical identity.

Roadmap to exchange of ideas

Global subjects of historic monument preservation and restoration in the professional programmes would be discussed in high-caliber conferences, specialist events, panel discussions and expert talks. Best-practice examples from national and international restoration and historic monument preservation projects would also be presented.
The forum for building culture will devote time to the history of India, Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh to discuss their architectural heritage.
The conference intends to promote contemporary art from all over the world.
In addition to the cross-disciplinary mix of exhibitors, visitors can expect high-caliber international professional programmes at museums and specialized events.

Trade fair

Four exhibition areas, institutions and companies from all relevant segments of the culture market would present new products, solutions and concepts revolving around exhibiting, restoration and cultural heritage.
The presentation platform for startups to include:

  •  Carrying history further: Which methods and technologies are best suited for the preservation of cultural heritage?
  • Preserving the unique: What new techniques are there for securing heritage buildings and works of art even better for future generations? What has proven itself in practice over a longer period – and what hasn't? How can digital technologies help, for example, with surveying? Providers would present products and solutions revolving around the restoration and preservation of heritage buildings and works of art in the exhibition area.
  • Staging through video, interactive media and scenography.
    Staging experiences to include: How do "virtual reality" and "augmented reality" applications allow completely new visitor experiences? How can virtual online exhibitions sensibly complement a real visit to a museum?

Needless to highlight, India’s capital will come to life with a plethora of cultural events, digital audiovisual displays, workshops of museum works which are otherwise not possible to exhibit.

Awards

To be set up under the auspices of the Council of museums and ACF.
The aim of the Museum of the Year Award is to recognize excellence in the museum scene. The Awards will go to museums which contribute most in terms of attracting audiences and satisfying their visitors with unique atmosphere, imaginative interpretation and presentation, solutions and concept revolving around exposition, restoration of cultural heritage and digital audiovisual display.
This event would cover a range of medium and concepts, from emotional to spiritual, installation, social musings in sculptures and digital art.

Authors can submit their work in the form of a Regular Paper, representing completed and validated research, or as a Position Paper. A position paper presents results that are preliminary or that simply require fewer pages to describe. A position paper may be a short report and discussion of ideas, facts, situations, methods, procedures or results of scientific research (theoretical or experimental) on one of the conference topics.

We welcome submissions to our call for papers, which we publish ahead of each conference. The call is open to everyone with an innovative and inspiring presentation idea.

Visa Requirements

It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to take care of his/her visa requirements. Attendees who require an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the application procedure. Attendees should contact the nearest embassy or consulate to determine the appropriate timing of their visa applications.

The organizers will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants.

The registration fee minus a handling fee of Amount 40 EUR will be refunded after the conference closing date if the visa was applied for in time, and an official proof of the embassy confirming that a visa could not be granted, is forwarded to the K.I.T. Group Registration Department.
