Amit specialises in panoramic digital photography, a technique he has used in his following books:
The Monumental India Book which was lauded as among the top 10 coffee-table books of the world and was recipient of the Incredible India award for Excellence in Publishing. It was presented by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to all visiting Heads of State including President of France, Nicholas Sarkozy.
The Sacred India Book, recipient of the Incredible India Award for Excellence in Publishing.
Mughal Architecture, a definitive work on the subject.
Dome over India on the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
India Then and Now, a perspective on changing social landscape of India
Horizons: The Tata India Century, a retrospective on the Tata Group
Maharaja of Palace – on the Umaid Bhawan
Currently his panoramic images are being used in the Park Hotels, Lalit Hotels, Claridges, HRH Hotels and other advertising campaigns. He has done two books on Cuisine, one on Yoga and another on Ayurvedic Massage. He has done a Cocktail Book with the Maurya Sheraton Hotel.
Amit has done over ten solo exhibitions, the first using panoramic photography on Delhi’s Heritage monuments titled “Panoramic Delhiscapes” and the other titled “Lens as Guru”. His work has been exhibited in Solo Exhibitions in New York, London and Delhi.
